HerDesign, Inc. starts off the new year by launching rockymountva.org – the official website for the town of Rocky Mount, Virginia!

Rockymountva.org provides area information, town services, and contact information including a calendar of events, local news and links of interest. The purpose of this website is to present a consistent image to the public, information of local services to residents, attract those who plan to visit or move, as well as, invite potential employers looking to expand or relocate their businesses, to find out for themselves, all that the Town of Rocky Mount has to offer.

This site features a user-friendly Content Management System which allows the client, themseves, to add/edit content from any computer with Internet access. Very little training is need to work the system and individual permissions can be set up for each user as needed. A user-updateable calendar system is also featured on this site, which shows upcoming events for the area. Visitors to the site can also subscribe to the site’s newslettter through a form that is available on the site. The information they submit is directly and automatically stored in a private database for future reference by the town.
