HerDesign Launches New Website for Southern Virginia Artisan Center!
HerDesign proudly announces the launch of the new website for the Southern Virginia Artisan Center located at http://www.southernvirginiaartisancenter.org
The programs at Southern Virginia Artisan Center combine hands-on training in the art or craft with design, small business management skills, marketing skills and technologies for small scale production.
Specially-designed non-credit workshops in individual crafts are offered. SVAC’s crafts instructors as well as internationally recognized artisans will conduct these workshops. Products by selected artisans are advertised and available for sale through the site as well.
This site’s homepage features a visually compelling flash animation, along with highlighting items for sale and the upcoming classes and events held at the Center.
Here is a breakdown of some programming features incorporated into this website:
(1.) User-Friendly Product Management System
This site features HerDesign’s new and improved Product Management System. It enables anyone to whom your company or organization allows permissions to add and edit products for the website from any computer with a web browser and internet access. With this system, html knowledge and ftp uploading tools are not necessary. Anyone with a minimal amount of training can use this system with ease to manage existing inventory and add new products for your site.
(2.) Calendar
Showcases and displays upcoming events and programs for your company or organization. This is a user-manageable tool.
(3.) Website Search Option
Site visitors can create a site-wide search for any information they seek by entering keywords into the specified textbox. You can do a site search for products available by either artist or media.
