The Drug Task Force is a coalition that is working towards eliminating the use and sale of illegal drugs in Martinsville and Henry County through strengthening of the local judicial system, support of strong prevention and rehabilitation programs and continued varied efforts to educate the total community regarding the perils of substance use, abuse and addiction.

The programs at Southern Virginia Artisan Center combine hands-on training in the art or craft with design, small business management skills, marketing skills and technologies for small scale production.

www.free-foundation.org– the official website for the Roanoke/Main chapter of the FREE Foundation.
FREE is a not-for-profit organization that provides needed rehabilitation equipment such as canes, wheelchairs and prosthetic devices to those who would otherwise not have them due to inadequate insurance or the inability to pay.
The purpose of this website is to provide information about the services that FREE provides and offers an easy means for those who would like to assist by donating their time, money or used equipment to the organization. To assist with accepting donations, this site includes PayPal which enables monetary contributions to be taken securely and directly online 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
WPBDC Site Launched
HerDesign Web Studio has created a website for the WPBDC that displays the clean, professional look of modern design, while utilizing an efficient Content Management System that allows the client to make their own content updates to their website as needed.
The purpose of WPBDC.org is to give the viewer information on the services and people behind this non-profit organization. The West Piedmont Business Development Center is a small business incubator. It’s goal is to improve the economic development of our community by helping entreprenuers with new or small businesses develop and succeed, and this new site is a great way to expand its foundation not just locally but on a global scale.
New VMNH Website Goes Live
Ever moving forward, HerDesign recently created a new website design along with a flash animation for the Virginia Museum of Natural History to celebrate the Grand Opening of its brand-new facility!
HerDesign collaborated with John Franck of Chatmoss Web Systems (programming) to create this new look for VMNH. This new website offers a wide range of information on upcoming museum programs, exhibits and events. The new look and flash animation incorporates the new colors and image of the new facility to create a cohesive image for the Grand Opening of the museum. The slide-show type of flash features local individuals and exhibits to add movement to the webpage while creating a visually pleasing informative element, which accentuates the overall design and look of the site.

This site was created for the Coalition for Health and Wellness, a HerDesign client, in conjuction with HCI and was chosen to be highlighted as one of the main Community Celebrations being featured as part of the 400th Anniversary of Jamestown, Virginia.
This website will be included in the Official Celebration materials given to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, during their State Visit in May 2007 to celebrate the 400th Anniversary of the Jamestown Settlement. All participants of the Event will receive this information. This fitness program stresses the importance of walking, good diet and making smart health and lifestyle choices by creating a Virtual walk from Martinsville to Jamestown.
